In The Raw

___

As a part of completing my degree for interior design it was required to construct a year long thesis project.  One of the first steps was to think of  personal interests and passions and how you can relate them to interior design.  During that time I was extremely conscious of my health....and now after travel and experiencing different ways cultures prepare and eat food I have become even more passionate about what kinds of food I put in my body.  For my thesis /seen here/ I decided to design a three story Raw Food restaurant located in Harvard Square in Cambridge (Boston) Massachusetts.  While I already had some interest in Raw Food my eyes were opened even wider while researching and collecting information for my pre-thesis.  The main idea behind eating raw is that once a raw plant food is heated above 104 degrees F it looses most of its nutritional value.  So raw foods have higher nutrient values than foods that have been cooked.  It can be challenging to live a fully vegan raw food lifestyle....which for the record I do not...I do love juicing, blending, and creating beautiful dishes using raw food recipes (some listed below).  The best way to start incorporating raw food consumption into your life is by juicing or blending (using a food processor)...you will see/feel a huge difference. Below are some creations I love....
